Fall 2008 Book Club News

Hello to BCPL Book and Film Club members!
We have just selected our Fall/Winter 2008-2009 titles. Here is our upcoming schedule:

November "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan This is a generational novel published in 1989 about the ups and downs, friendship, and life discoveries of Chinese American families.

January "Monster" by Walter Dean Myers A teenager is arrested after a convenience store robbery goes wrong.

March "Swim to Me" by Betsy Carter The 17 year old Delores Walker, leaves Bronx of 1973 to go to Weeki Wachee Springs in Tampa, Fla. She becomes the star mermaid and popular for the first time in her life.
